从民主社会主义论争看当代中国社会思想的变迁

Abstract

In early twentieth century, due to the conditions in China and the “Revolution Export” by the former Soviet Union, the movement of socialism in China took the path of violent struggle similar to Soviet Russia. However, since the 80s of the twentieth century, after the prolonged war-torn era and the “Cultural Revolution”, Chinese started the process of reconsider violent revolution. In 2007, the argument on Democratic Socialism was on re-evaluation of violent revolution within the realm of Marxism and Socialism. The essence of the argument was: whether Marxism is all about violence, whether socialism must involve democratic constitutional government, whether class struggle based on the Theory of Surplus Value Exploitation established in the past still exists, and is reconcilable, whether Democratic Socialism belongs to Socialism or Capitalism, as well as the historical position of Democratic Socialism. Even though this argument involves different opinions on whether Democratic Socialism and Chinese Characteristic Socialism are compatible with each other, it tends to agree with the recognition on the process of democratization and on the diversity of socialism.
